Our Big Playground Reveal

Part of the playground

Our ribbon cutting ceremony
As most people know, we were very involved in raising money for a special needs playground at the kids' school throughout the past year.  We did TONS of fund raising (sold potatoes, had basketball tournaments, made baskets to raffle, etc.)  We earned a total of $200,000 and had the coolest playground ever put in at the school this year.  Our ribbon cutting ceremony was a few weeks ago to celebrate such an accomplishment and honor all of our donors.  Dave designed the shirts that the whole school wore, Brooklyn had a speaking part, and all of the kids sang in the program.  It was so fun and such an honor to be part of such a unique project and I am proud that our family's name will be on the memorial rock.  I am grateful for all of the people that I met in the process and for the opportunity for our kids to learn about selfless service.  Now, as the PTO president, we get to focus on a much more low key project, buying books for our library.
