Rowan turned 4 months old this week! We took him to the doctor and he was 15.5 lbs (65%) and 25.5 inches (65%). He is growing like crazy. He started solid foods this week too. He loves rice cereal and does not like sweet potatoes or carrots yet. Maybe solid foods will help him sleep longer at night? Please! I can't get over how loud he is, always making noises that sound a lot like a seagull. Every once in a while, he hits a really high note. I hope he isn't going to be an opera singer. He has figured out how to grab at different things (like my hair and earrings) and he is fascinated with different patterns and textures. Today he spent ten minutes playing with the collar of my dress at church. He loves to talk to his animals in the morning in his crib and play with his giraffe "G" that hangs on his car seat. He doesn't roll over as much as he used to because he scoots his knees to his chest and sticks his bum in the air. Once he realizes that he can't go anywhere doing that, he makes a swimming movement that usually results in frustration and tears. He is still so fun and sweet! It makes me happy to see his new developments, but sad at the same time because I wish I could keep him a baby forever!
