Mason, Brooklyn, and I spend a lot of time playing Yahtzee and Monopoly in our house. I love Yahtzee especially, but let me tell you about Mason. This kid should buy a lottery ticket because he is so darn lucky! If he needs a large straight, he rolls it. 4 of a kind? no problem, and the kid ALWAYS gets a Yahtzee! He is impossible to beat, except when we play Monopoly.
I have decided that Monopoly is a parent's worst punishment. It takes at least 2 hours, you can never buy any houses because someone always has the last property for the set, and the game usually ends with someone in tears, and sometimes it is me. It is also reallly frustrating when you are me and you only land on chance, income tax, or a property owned by someone else. I honestly went through an entire game only owning 1 railroad and the electric company! Brooklyn is awesome at this game and usually beats both Mason and I, resulting in Mason crying, "This game is not fair to me!" and blaming me for his loss. Lesson learned, no more Monopoly for me! :)
