Mom's trip to Idaho

My mom and Z came to visit last week, and we did a ton of things! It was so nice to have them here. They got to see the new house, Rexburg, Yellowstone, Island Park, and of course, US! The first night we had dinner and played at the house. On Thursday, the boys golfed and we went up to Island Park to Grandma and Grandpa Jones' cabin. We hung out with Mom and Trever, roasted marshmallows, had dinner, made smores. It was a lot of fun, but we got up really early to see the park, as encouraged by Dad, our tour guide!
Yellowstone (or marshmallowstone as Maddy says) was really pretty, but it was cold and rainy, so not a lot of animals were out. Since there are 2.2 million acres in the park, we didn't see everything, but it was beautiful. For those of you that know me, I am not a big nature lover, so this is the most nature that I have ever taken pictures of. Mom treated to take out that night, after we had all been in the car for about 9 hours, and it was super early to bed.
Saturday we went to Bear World, which was way cooler than we thought it would be. The kids loved the rides and petting zoo, and we even had bears come right up to our car! I personally liked the baby bears the best. A baby deer tried to kick Dawson and Mason. The boys golfed again on Saturday, we took everyone to church on Sunday ,and then we had a big BBQ at Mom and Dad Allen's house with the whole family. Meieli and James performed for us and Gibson showed us how he crawls. Brooklyn rode the 4 wheeler all around, and the weather was just perfect.
Monday, Mom and I shopped until we dropped! I hope her bank account still has a positive balance! I found two great places to eat that are gluten free in Idaho Falls, and we bought everything from clothes to groceries to home decor! Thanks Mom!Tuesday we had Dawson's Tball game, lunch in IF and then goodbye at the airport. I always hate saying goodbye, but it was a little easier knowing that I will be in Cleveland in 3 weeks! Overall, a fun trip!
