Update on Rowan (and the rest of us)

This is what happens when I am hungry and Dad tries to kiss me
He looks so silly in this picture, like he is trying to get out of a box or something
Morning relaxation in Mom and Dad's bed
My life is so horrible because my diaper has to be changed!
ALWAYS has to hold his own pacifier and bottle
Sometimes he is very unhelpful because he pulls the bottle out

Sister love!

This was the night that the kids left. I think he thought it was a little too quiet.
Brothers

Big Brother, Big Sister and little brother shirts from Grandma!
Rowan is such a good baby! He is now 17 days old. He weighs 7 lbs 10 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long (growing like a weed!) He has definitely gained weight in his cheeks, making them more kissable than ever. He has slept the past 4 nights, only getting up once each night! He loves to be wide awake in the morning and spends time on our bed staring at the ceiling fan. Who needs baby toys when you have a ceiling fan! He also stays up for 2-3 hours in the evening, which is my favorite. We play, sing and read books. The kids LOVE him and they are so sweet with him. His first morning back, Maddy coughed at breakfast (a little tickle) and she immediately said, "I don't know why I coughed. I not sick!" She was afraid she wouldn't be able to hold Rowan. She likes to call him "Row-man" and she is very protective of him. She even said, "he is the best baby brother in the whole, white, world." So sweet. Everyone has enjoyed showing him off, and he survived his first week of negative temperatures.

My favorite Dawson moment was when Rowan was crying in his crib and Dawson said, "Dad doesn't even take care of him. He is crying to death." I told him that Rowan would be fine for a second and he said, "He doesn't sound fine to me." He also told me to be really careful on the ice because I was carrying the baby. He had to write a journal entry for school and his teacher showed me. It said, " I like my bebe. I love my bebe. It is brown." He drew a picture of him and Rowan (colored brown). It is so sweet and innocent. I am really enjoying the chance to watch the kids interact with him.

Holy cow!!! I know I have been bad at checking blogs but I had no idea you were adopting! I feel like a terrible friend. Anyway, he is SUPER cute! How fun. Congratulations my friend! You should call me when you get a minute so we can catch up okay? Also, the kids are getting so big and that video was so darn cute! I admit I had to wipe a little tear away.
