We went to Ohio July 14-20 for Mom and Z's wedding weekend! The first day was spent at the lake house on Lake Erie. The kids went Jet Skiing and tubing and played in the lake all day. They were so exhausted that I had to wake them up at 9:15 the next morning. Mason and Dave golfed on Friday while the girls went to get manicures/pedicures and have lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. Maddy was so small that she couldn't reach the water, so she had a pillow behind her. She looked like a little princess! We all got purple on our toes! They both got lots of flowers painted on their nails. We had a 90th birthday party for Mame that night with over 50 people! It was so great to see a lot of the extended relatives on my mom's side of the family, especially the Iowa crew. Saturday was the actual wedding and it was beautiful. Maddy kept saying, "Everyone knows my name, and I don't know them!" There were lots of people to meet for the first time for the kids. Sunday was a relaxing day, with lots of farewells. Aunt Jen spoiled the kids with new towels (adorable), and lots of treats! On Monday, we went to the Cleveland Zoo and Rainforest. It was pretty hot (and humid!), but we had a good time. Dawson got to see the cheetah, his favorite animal, and we had a funny experience with the Orangutan kissing us through the glass. Traveling is always exhausting, but we had a great time. The kids didn't want to leave! Best wishes to Mom and Z! Thanks for everything!
