4th of July

Matching Hairbows

I am really behind on my blogging! For the 4th of July, we started off the day by going to the parade in Rexburg in our red, white and blue clothes. Brooklyn was really excited to be matching, and she said, "I bet we are going to be the only ones there with red, white and blue bows!" So cute! The parade was almost 2 hours long, and we came home with a purseful of candy! All of the other kids would eat their candy, even though they were supposed to bring it to me, but not Dawson. This obedient little boy would weave through the crowd to bring me each and every piece! We saw our good friends Brent and Kiley and their daughter Kaedyn who were visiting from Ohio. While we were talking to them, a police officer kindly returned Maddy to us after she wandered off to follow a float. Whoops!
After the parade, the kids cooled off in the sprinklers in the yard. After dinner, we went to Nate and Elisa's for homemade rootbeer floats and Trever's fireworks extravaganza! Every year, Trever spends his hard earned money on fireworks and sparklers. He invites all of us to watch them as the brothers set them off. They were really colorful, and the kids really enjoyed it, although nothing could ever beat little Christians excitement! Thanks Trever!
Not sure how this is enjoyable!
