Finally some sun!

Dawson, the Pro bike rider
Learning to ride her bike without training wheels

First real ponytail!

When we got back to Rexburg, it was sunny, for a few days at least! Dave and I really enjoy the time that we have with Maddy and Dawson while Mason and Brooklyn are at school. It is such a good time to focus on them individually and notice how quickly they are growing up. Maddy insisted on having her training wheels off, but after many attempts, they were put back on. She would go 4 squares of concrete, and then fall to the right. Hopefully by the end of the summer. It was wearing us out to keep running next to her, holding her bike! They love to chase bubbles, and Dawson is awesome at riding his bike. I told him 10 times that he can't ride a bike in flip flops because it will hurt his toes. Being a boy, he of course decided that he should prove me wrong, and rode in his flip-flops. Not even 5 minutes later, he comes screaming into the garage with a bloody toe and screamed, "It's all Alissa's fault!" I'm not sure how it was my fault, but we fixed the toe, and he was good to go again. Also, I gave them each 50 Candy Land cards and had them tell me the colors. Maddy got 47/50 right (she mixes up yellow and orange)! I was really impressed! Dawson got 34/50, but I think that is because he loses interest really quickly! We'll keep trying though.

We have had many the bloody toe because one of our three bike-riding children refuse to believe us when we say that if they don't wear their shoes they'll get hurt. :) Ahhh!!! I love reading about your cute family...Alissa, you are such a great mommy!!!!! :)

I am so glad that Oregon is more enjoyable now. By the way, were Marcel Parkinson's cookies fabulous or what?!
