The Temple

Dave and I went to the Rexburg temple on March 6th, 2009 for my first time! It was such a wonderful experience that I can't even put it to words. Dave's Mom was my escort, and it was so nice to have the support of his whole family: Mom, Dad, Nate, Elisa, James, Meieli, Lindsay, Jeff, Grandma and Grandpa Jones, Todd and Jen. A special thanks to Hailee and Trever for watching all of the kids! I was definitely nervous, and I probably will be for the next few times, but I now know how important it is to be a temple recommend holder! Getting to this point has been a lot of hard work for Dave and I, but the rewards are totally worth it! :)

My escort! The funniest thing about the temple was that EVERYONE thought that Dave's Mom was my sister! I told one lady that I was her daughter-in-law and she said, "Did you marry a deacon?" I bet that made Mom feel good! :) She was also soooo helpful to me, always answering my questions and making sure I was okay. She even had a mint when I needed one!
Dave and I outside of the temple afterwards! Thanks, James for laying on the ground to take it! :)

Afterwards, we had pizza at Mom and Dad's house with the whole family. Of course I was the one who placed the order to be picked up at 7pm (our session was at 6pm). I am the new person, so I didn't know how long we would be! Glad the pizza wasn't too soggy. Here are a few pictures of the evening.

Hey! I'm soooooooooo stink'n proud of you guys! Sorry I'm just barely telling you. Jake told me you through a couple of weeks ago but I'm just starting to come back to the land of the living! I think about you guys all the time. Make sure you do "Sealings" someday. They are my favorite. I wish we could have been there to celebrate with you.
