Today was rainy and cold in Rexburg. Mason's soccer game was canceled, so Dave and I began to wonder what to do with 4 children all day, in the rain, with General Conference going on. We decided to head to Idaho Falls to stop at a few stores (hardly anyone out shopping in Idaho), and then we had lunch at Carino's because Dave had won a giftcard there from a golf tournament. I had never been there before, but I had one of the best meals ever. It was called the Bowtie Festival and it had chicken, tomatoes, onions, and bacon with an asiago cream sauce. I highly recommend trying it if you haven't already. (It is also probably even better when you don't have to entertain 4 children while you eat).
After lunch, we took the kids to the aquatic center in IF to swim and they had a blast. Brooklyn and Mason loved the diving board, until we dared Mason to do a flip off the high dive and he landed on his belly. Dawson and Maddy went down the slide about 100 times! (I hope that means that they will sleep well tonight.) We had to dance and sing all the way home to keep the little two awake. Late naps= late bedtime= early rising for Dawson= cranky child and parents.
Tonight we are watching Peter Pan and going to Dave's parents. I figured my husband would have DVRed conference, but funny thing, we have 3 college football games to watch instead. :)Oh well! I guess I can read them next month in the Ensign! Here are some pictures from our day. I really was there, I just don't care to take pictures in my bathing suit, especially after eating Italian.
