Dave and I competed in the RUSH Triathlon on Saturday, August 16th. It was a sprint race, so we swam 0.6miles, biked 14 miles and ran 3.1 miles. It was my first race, and I finished decently (nothing stellar). I enjoyed the sense of accomplishment after the fact, but didn't really enjoy the actual events. It was really nice to have the kids cheering us on as well as Dave's parents. Even total strangers would cheer when we went by! My awesome husband came in second in the whole race and first in his age group! He amazes me. These are a few pictures after the race. Dave's Dad took pictures during the race, but I am pretty sure they aren't going to be too attractive, so they may not make the blog :)
