Reading in our bed
We are going to have Maddy audition for the circus because of her crazy flexibility. Her face is flat on the bed!
My little shadow!
The babies!
Best Buddies!
I think this is the first picture we have taken together since we've been married!
Brooklyn and I worked on her Kangaroo project for school. It is crazy what they make kindergarteners do these days! She had to use the internet, research four different topics about kangaroos, organize it on a diagram, put together a project, and tell her class what she learned! I also can't believe how scary the internet can be. You can't imagine what I found when I Googled a picture of a kangaroo. Good thing I found some child-based sites on my own before we did the project! Time to invest in a filtering service!
It also makes me sad to think about the difference between a six year old now, and a six year old in 1989, when I was that age. I wore dresses that Mame made, my hair in pigtails or braids, ruffle socks and Keds tennis shoes. I didn't care too much about what other kids wore or what boys thought. Because of Hannah Montana and High School Musical, and all of these other shows, these young girls are 6 going on 16! Every morning we go through a routine of picking out an outfit, matching ribbon, matching shoes or sandals, etc. Kindergarteners shouldn't worry about a scratch on their face or whether or not they have fat thighs. I had that they already have these pressures that cause them to grow up so quickly. Okay, enough venting. There was nothing that happened in Oregon worth writing about.....we are back in Rexburg again. Yea!
